The department for counselling and psychological attention is a support body that helps to promote and coordinate tutorials and counselling, besides giving guidance to the different departments that participate in the education process. It is a service that is available to everyone in the education community.

This counselling includes collaboration, action and coordination with the families and staff in order to find efficient ways to bring together all the different aspects in the education of the student to help in their complete development.

The activities and functions of this department that will be developed can be classified into four main sections depending on the educational stage of each student:

  • Support for the teaching-learning process: attention to diversity, providing resources…
  • Tutorial Action Plan focuses on two programs for the ESO and Baccalaureate stage.
  • Academic and professional guidance plan.
  • Consultations, coordination and collaboration with faculty and families.

Our role:

Stages in Infant & Primary education:

  • The aim of counselling in the infant and primary stages has a preventative focus in order to anticipate learning difficulties, that will optimize the learning process, facilitate diversity and preparation for life. Besides focusing on the learning process to encourage the integral education of each student. The primary objective is the prevention, intervention and monitoring of all students in infant and primary education.

Secondary and Senior stages:

  • Develop and coordinate together with the teaching staff a tutorial action plan for each stage.
  • Coordinate the planning and development of school and professional counselling activities. Encourage self-awareness amongst the students, and facilitate strategies so that they can make decisions regarding their professional future.
  • Advice to students and families at both group and individual levels.
