Cultural exchange with the Schenk von Limpurg Gymnasium in Germany

On October 14th we were delighted to welcome a group of 12 German students from the Schenk von Limpurg Gymnasium in Gaildorf, Germany, who stayed with our students’ families as part of our exchange programme. The following day, the German students and their hosts enjoyed an excursion to Malaga where they took a guided tour of the historic centre and visited the Picasso Museum, immersing themselves in the art and culture of the city.

During the following two days, the group stayed at our school, where we organised various workshops with the aim of fostering interaction and shared learning between the German students and our school hosts. The programme included an art workshop with our teacher Ana Rueda, a programming workshop with Juan José Pérez, and a gastronomic experience in which the students learned how to prepare paella, under the guidance of Nathalie Le Bourgeois. Finally, the German students visited the 5th and 6th year Primary classes, where they participated in different activities especially prepared for them, sharing unique moments with our youngest students.

Closing of the week

On Friday we closed the week with an excursion to Estepona where the students enjoyed a boat trip in the bay and participated in a fun cultural treasure hunt throughout the historic centre, organised by the students of the Tourist Guidance, Information and Assistance Diploma programme at the IES Monterroso school in Estepona. The weekend was reserved for the German students to live and share special experiences with their host families.

We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to all of the families and students of our school who are participating in this cultural exchange and we look forward to the our students trip to visit Gaildorf on November 22nd, where they will undoubtedly continue creating unforgettable memories!
