Blood Donation Project

This trimester, our 5th-grade students have completed an interdisciplinary project focused on blood donation. Its main objective was to raise awareness of its importance while learning about the human body—especially the circulatory, respiratory, and excretory systems—as well as blood type compatibility.

Throughout the project, students researched and created educational materials such as informational posters, scientific charts, keychains, and stickers to distribute after donations. They also composed acrostic poems and calligrams related to the topic. They designed a layout for the auditorium, produced news articles, and developed various promotional materials.

The blood donation project culminated in a real blood donation campaign held at the school, complemented by a field trip to Estepona, where students interviewed people about healthy habits and blood donation while promoting the campaign to attract as many donors as possible.

This project has fostered creativity, teamwork, oral communication, values education, and social commitment, meaningfully integrating learning from various subjects.
