Primary Reading Project: Become Wisemen and Wisewomen of the Kingdom of Atalaya!

This year, at Atalaya International School, we are excited to introduce a magical new Reading Project for all Primary Education students, inspired by the ancient legend of the Kingdom of Atalaya. As the story goes, long ago, the great Atalaya Tower protected the kingdom, but a dark shadow threatened to divide it and spread chaos. To defend their people, the wisemen and wisewomen of the tower summoned four magical guardians: the Phoenix, the Dragon, the Kraken and the Unicorn, who built four magical towers to restore peace.

Thus, the four towers of the kingdom were born: Zephyra Tower (air), Ignis Tower (fire), Aquae Tower (water) and Terranova Tower (earth). Together, these towers joined forces to defeat the darkness, and today, centuries later, they need new wisemen and wisewomen to continue protecting the kingdom.

How to become an Atalaya wisemen or wisewomen?

The wisemen and wisewomen of the kingdom are those who, with curiosity and dedication, acquire new knowledge to understand the world around them. And the key to being a true wisemen or wisewomen lies in reading. Books allow us to explore new worlds, discover incredible stories and learn fascinating things every day.

Starting this year, each student of Primary Education will be part of one of these four magical towers. The towers will compete against each other, not only through reading, but also by working as a team to develop special qualities each term. Students in Zephyra Tower, Ignis Tower, Aquae Tower and Terranova Tower will have to demonstrate effort, commitment and passion for learning to earn special badges and score points for their tower.

Every book they read and every challenge they overcome will be an opportunity to demonstrate their wisdom. At the end of each term, each tower’s performance will be evaluated and the top students will receive special recognition.

A journey towards knowledge

This project aims not only to develop reading skills, but also to foster curiosity, creativity and team spirit. Reading, as the main tool of the wisemen and wisewomen of Atalaya, will allow our students to embark on an exciting adventure where learning is part of the path to greatness.
