Achievements of our basketball section
Last weekend our teams from the basketball section made great advances in their game
The team from 3rd and 4th years of Primary Education (mixed Preminibasket) achieved their first victory away from home at the Carlos Cabezas Sports Hall in Marbella playing against the Costa Marbella Basketball Club with a score of 0-40. A great victory that demonstrates the good work being done by their coach, Hector Ruiz Hidalgo.
The two CDC Atalaya Minibasket teams also played this weekend and, although they both lost their respective games, they showed great improvement and evolution in their game. The female team lost at home to Colegio San Estanislao from Malaga and the masculine team was defeated by the Mollina Basketball Club. Despite the defeats the coaches were very satisfied with the great improvement shown by both teams.
We also woke up to the news today that our mixed Preminibasket player Noa Bungaroo de Prado has been chosen to participate in the try-outs for the provincial Preminibasket team next Sunday, November 29th, at 17:30, on the Andalusian Basketball Federation courts. This team will be participating in the Andalusian Championships in Benahavis against other provincial teams.
Our congratulations to all of the boys and girls that form part of our Basketball section for their progress and especially to Noa for being selected for the provincial try outs.
