Cambridge Diploma Ceremony
Today our assembly hall hosted a ceremony in which the students that did the Cambridge English exams at the end of the last school year were awarded their diplomas
The ceremony was presided by Rebecca Hammond, Exam Coordinator for IML Granada in Estepona and Marbella, Alejandro del Nogal, Cambridge English Consultant for eastern Andalusia and Jonathan Baum, Centre Exams Manager for the IML Granada Platinum Centre.
Not only did 100% of the students who sat the exam manage to pass but, in the words of Mr. Baum, the results obtained by our boys and girls were “significantly above the national average”. These magnificent results are summarised by level below:
• Young learners (Starters, Movers and Flyers): from a total of 42 students, 50% obtained 14 or 15 shields (the maximum score at this level is 15 shields).
• KET: from a total of 20 students, 5 passed with Merit (a score of 85-90 points out of 100) and 4 passed with Distinction (a score of 90-100 out of 100).
• PET: from a total of 25 students, 13 passed with Merit and 9 with Distinction.
These results received special praise from the Cambridge representatives during the ceremony.
Our most sincere congratulations to all of these students for their effort. We are sure that this year they will once again achieve their objectives.
