Primary Education Reading Plan
Our primary school teachers have devised a reading plan using Harry Potter as a guiding theme.
To begin, the students were all summoned to the Assembly Hall for an opening ceremony, where the sorting hat revealed which house they each belong to: Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Gryffindor.
The magic continued the next day at Atalaya and, in order to learn more about the reading plan, students had to overcome a treasure hunt that ended up leading them to the library. There, they received their reading card and learned how the reading plan works.
Each student’s reading card is to be filled out by reading books. When the card is full, they will receive a ball and go to the next reading card level. In the library there will be four containers, each one decorated with the coat of arms of a house, and the students will deposit the balls they earn in their house’s container (thus earning house points). For each level reached, they will receive different educational rewards.
We hope that this magical reading plan will encourage teamwork and help instil a love for reading, thus creating avid young readers.
Below you will find a selection of photos and videos where you can see for yourselves just how excited all the students really are.
