Secondary Chess tournament 2021-2022

On Wednesday, April 27th, our school held its 2021/2022 Secondary Chess tournament, in which a total of 54 students participated: 51 Secondary and Baccalaureate students and 3 guests from Primary.

For many it was the first time they participated in a competition of this type and all went away with the firm intention of improving their game for their next tournament.

At the end of the 6 intense rounds played, the podium ended up as follows:

1st place: Artur Gasparyan, from Year 2 IB

2nd place: Frank Gonzalez Bertot, from 1st year Baccalaureate

3rd place: Rafael Gasparyan, from 2nd year Primary

Special mention should be made of the 3 Primary students that were invited to participate in the tournament as all 3 ended up in the top 11. Even more important that the results of the tournament was the good sportsmanship shown by all and which made all participants winners.
