Trip to Córdoba with the students of 2nd year of Secondary Education
On November 9th, 2018, the students of 2nd year of Secondary Education visited the city of Cordoba
The excursion to this beautiful city, with one of the most noteworthy medieval old towns in Europe, was a magnificent way to conclude our history lessons on Islamic and Muslim Spain. The Mosque/Cathedral very much impressed all of the students, who had just studied the historical figures that were decisive in the long building process of the Mosque of Cordoba, which was subsequently converted to a Cathedral.
We finished off the excursion with a walking tour of the beautiful patios of Cordoba, which provide us with a glimpse into the idiosyncrasies of the city and through which the narrow medieval streets give way to havens of peace and tranquillity.
Throughout the course of the day, the students enjoyed participating in a historic/photographic treasure hunt, taking photos of themselves next to all of the unforgettable landmarks. To sum up, it was a great day that allowed us to link our history lessons to the places in which these important events occurred, while at the same time strengthening friendships among students and leaving us all with a good feeling inside after an unforgettable autumn day in Andalusia.
