Waves of change
The beginnings of this musical theater production WAVES OF CHANGE find their inspiration in the search to unite music, dance, singing and acting together with an overpowering message. Considering the vertiginous advancement of technology over the course of the 21st century, we cannot and should not forget that it is our moral duty to take care of the earth, and taking care of our oceans and seas is an essential part of this.
In April a visit was planned to the REAL CLUB NÁUTICO of ESTEPONA where the students of the 1st year of Secondary got to hear and see first-hand about the importance of following through with this responsibility. This eye-opening experience allowed them to reflect upon and develop ideas for the characters appearing in the play. All of the ideas were linked together, then written into the script.
This undertaking, which began months ago, has allowed us all to practice many skills such as researching, summarizing, paraphrasing, writing, acting, singing and dancing, while we’ve also been able to broaden and perfect our English and take it all to a higher level, but most importantly, as we have been enjoying progressing in these other aspects, we have also learned to keep in mind the importance of this global issue. This is the underlying purpose of the creation of WAVES OF CHANGE.
