XII CDC ATALAYA TOURNAMENT

The XII annual CDC Atalaya Basketball Tournament for the current season 2022/2023 was yet again a great success.

This tournament, organised by the CDC Atalaya sports club with the collaboration of the Malaga Delegation of the Andalusian Basketball Federation, took place on Saturday, May 27th, in the sports pavilion facilities at the Atalaya International School in Estepona.

It was a great morning of simultaneous matches on the 3 courts of the Atalaya International School pavilion, where a wonderful atmosphere of sportsmanship prevailed among the participants and their families. More than 150 boys and girls enjoyed a great day of basketball training, with the participation of CB Ciudad de Ceuta with 3 teams, CD Centurias San Roque with 3 teams and the 3 teams of the host club.

The tournament was played in a triangular format with each game being played in 4 periods of 10 minutes. The Girls Minibasket category played on Court 1, the Mixed Preminibasket category on Court 2 and the Boys Minibasket category on Court 3. Due to the weather forecast on the day of the tournament we had to cancel the boys Infantil and Cadete category matches on the outdoor courts.

At the end of the different triangular games, the players received their medals for their participation in the tournament. The medals were presented by the Technical Director of the CDC Atalaya sports club, Jose Manuel Burgos Lati.

We would like to thank all the participating clubs, all the players, coaches, referees, table assistants and all the parents and family members who attended the event, in addition to the Andalusian Basketball Federation for their collaboration. It was a fun morning of great basketball training.
